BASE is a product of Base MLO LLC ("BASE", "we", "us"). BASE is a CRM for mortgage loan officers, available at base.loan and app.base.loan. This policy explains what information BASE handles, why, and who it is shared with. It covers two groups: our customers (loan officers and their teams who sign up for BASE) and the people in their CRM (borrowers, real estate agents and other contacts a customer adds).
BASE does not store Social Security numbers, dates of birth, income figures, credit scores, bank account numbers or borrower documents. When a customer uses the income calculator's document reader, the document is sent to an AI service to read it and is not saved by BASE afterward.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the people in your CRM for our own marketing.
We share information only with service providers that help run BASE, and only as needed for that purpose:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of BASE or others, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Your data is kept separate from other customers' data. BASE staff access a customer account only to provide support you request, to keep the service secure, or when required by law. That access is logged.
If you connect Outlook or Gmail, BASE uses that access only to send the emails you set up and, if you turn it on, to prepare your morning briefing. BASE stores the summary it writes, not your emails. You can disconnect at any time in BASE or in your Microsoft or Google account settings.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Connection tokens for email accounts are encrypted separately. Access is restricted by account and organization. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
We keep customer data while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 90 days, except records we must keep for legal, security or billing reasons. You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
Customers decide what contacts they add and how they communicate with them. Customers are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact those people, honoring opt-outs, and meeting the privacy and marketing rules that apply to their business, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM. BASE processes this information on the customer's behalf. Requests from a borrower or contact should go to the loan officer who added them; we will help that customer respond.
BASE uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Emails sent through BASE may include a small tracking image and tracked links so customers can see whether an email was opened or clicked.
BASE is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
We may update this policy. If we make a significant change, we will tell customers by email or in the app before it takes effect.
